joshua said the alumni band always manages to pull off miracles, which isn't far from the truth. what the band does well is create an amazing tone. we sound good, and that covers whatever technical flaws there may be. but last night, we were also loud!!! though bela and jolene commented it didn't sound loud from wherever they were sitting.
performing always puts me in a good mood. there's nothing that quite beats the exhilaration felt on stage. the cheers from the crowd and the strobe lights further fuel that exhilaration. i was quite possibly nervous, if nerves feel like an upset tummy (which subsequently went away after the first note!). i don't know how many more concerts i'll play for, and though a lot of time is committed to each project, the two hours on stage in front of a cheering crowd more than justifies the effort.
